Go to ER: Could be Common cold or Coronavirus. With difficulty breathing, your little one will need to be seen in the ER for treatment. Without difficulty breathing, all symptoms could be treated at home. Acetaminophen for fever/pain relief, decongestant for nasal congestion. Lots of fluids, especially electrolytes, and rest.

Evaluation : I hope the child would have been evaluated by the time I am responding to your question. In such cases, it is important to examine the child and know if he has fever. Depending on the situation strep and covid testing can be done. If at any time,appetite is depressed then there is always risk of dehydration. So a physician must be consulted.
