Can try: Your doctor must feel like one of the tubes has enough opening to allow pregnancy to occur. Insemination is much less expensive than the next step which is in vitro fertilization. Likely your doctor is hoping AI will work for you.

Your tubes!: The most common cause for scarred tubes is infection with chlamydia. I would get a two week course of doxycycline if I were you. Tubes can also be widened with air insertion!
