See vein specialist.: Varicose veins are due to malfunctioning (refluxing) valves usually of the saphenous system. You certainly may have bruised your vein or you may even have a clot in the vein (superficial phlebitis). You should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation including a venous reflux exam. This will both diagnose your problem and help to formulate a treatment plan.

Yes contact Dr: You have at least varicose veins and possibly more serious underlying issues. You should see a vein specialist for a full venous evaluation including a venous reflux exam. This will both diagnose your problem and help to formulate a treatment plan.

Varicose vein: Sounds like an internal rupture but would recommend evaluation sooner rather than later
