Most people with copd, have a higher oxygen level when sitting. why is mine 95-96 when sitting an gets up to 97-98 when active. theirs gets lower .

Good news: These are not bad numbers, Linda, and if accurate they mean that when you are exerting yourself your lungs are performing better. This is wonderful for you as you need to stay as active as possible to keep your heart strong. Good luck!

COPD O2 saturation: COPD patients not a uniform group Those with a decreased number of operational blood vessels in the lung will decrease the O2 saturation when they move because they have less O2 to give to the body tissues and the deceased sat.reflects this. You are in a group that does not have this problem. Your Sat.is up because you take deeper breaths when you move and bring in blood vessels not used at rest.
