About

Bio

I am a Californian. I obtained my MD at Trinity College Dublin Ireland where I lived because of my husband having to be there for a period of time . While there I did research in Neurophysiology and was head of the department of histology in the medical school at Trinity College Dublin Ireland. We returned to the States and I went to the UCLA San Fernando internship and residency in Internal medicine.in California. I then did my fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance California. I also trained here in Exercise Physiology. While here I also received a senior research grant from the American Heart Association. After completing my Fellowship in 1988 I went into private practice in Los Angeles where I was chairman of the Ethics Committee at one hospital and a Medical Quaility Assurance reviewer at another. At the same time, I continued to be a clinical attending in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care at Harbor UCLA Medical Center where I received the award of excellence as the clinical attending physician of the year. I also was and remain a clinical attending in pulmonary medicine at Cedars Siani Medical Center in Los Angeles California. I am at the present time a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine.
