I have hashimoto's disease and my doctor prescribed me 25mcg of levothyroxine. i have read hair loss happens. i'm scared to take it now. i am 19 yo. ?

Take medication: Thyroxine does not cause hair loss. Lack of thyroxine may cause hair loss. Being thyroid deficient will cause a host of other problems as well. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
