Go,different: The pendulum has swung from adding more and more opioids to switching to different ones. Nucynta (tapentadol) has proven benefit in nerve pain, and may be a better choice here, but also,consider a spinal,cord stimulator which is non medicine, adjuvants such as gabapentin or,Lyrica, which are non opioids but Lyrica is indicated for spinal,nerve pain as well. See a pain doc who will assist you with this problem
