Metformin: During breastfeeding: no clear documented harm to breastfed infants, but it enters human milk, caution advised. Metformin in PCOS doesn't help hairsutism, acne or infertility, it is helpful in reducing insulin resistance, and against developing diabetes during pregnancy / type 2 diabetes in PCOS patients. So check with your doctor if you can hold it during breastfeeding, resume later if needed
