See the doctor: If you're still having significant pain 12 days after a surgery -something is wrong. I doubt heat or ice would be much affect...maybe ice -BUT YOU REALLY MUST see a doctor right away. What I worry about is some sort of complication-like a resistant germ now coming through, or something structural that's giving you pain, when you should be healing quite well by now. Some things delay healing-ask MD
