Floaters arise as we: Age and are a natural consequence of liquefaction of the vitreous gel. They are harmless but annoying. They can occur in diabetes as hemorrhages or inflammation. Maintaining a healthy diet in general can reduce risk of getting diabetes, but there is no special food that dissolves the floaters.
