When would it be necessary to go to er for a pinched nerve in the lumbar spine?

If you know for sure: it is only a pinched nerve, and nothing more serious, you should go to ED if there is intractable pain, paralysis, or bladder/bowel problems. Otherwise, consult with your doctor at his office or clinic.
