What will an upper endoscopy show that a ct scan wouldn't show?

Mucosal lining...: ...and will permit biopsies. CT cannot accurately diagnosis eosinophilic esophagitis, Barrett's esophagus, H.pylori, celiac sprue whereas these entities can all be found (or largely ruled out) histologically upon endoscopic sampling.
