A member asked:

28 yrs old gpa 3 2 1. heavy periods severe back pain and abdominal tenderness. 2 c sections. 6 abnormal paps. is cervical cancer a likely candidate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: I would need more information regarding your pap smear abnormalities. it is more likely that your symptoms are due to scaring, adhesions from your cesareans or an inflammatory condition called adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is not cancer but can cause painful periods and overtime abdominal discomfort and pain with intercourse. i advise you to seek further evaluation with your gynecologist. good luck.
