If you had an otherwise normal pap, you do not have undetected cervical cancer. Most people are able to clear the HPV virus on their own. Important to practice safe sex, and to continue to have regular paps by your gynecologist.

It is highly unlikely that you would have a cervical cancer with a normal pap, but the HPV does increase your risk for precancerous changes. You can talk to your doctor about doing a colposcopy which is a more definitive test (but uncomfortable), and just repeating the pap and HPV in a year is probably a reasonable option
