7mm stone: It is unusual for a 5 year old to have kidney stones. If the stone is positioned in a safe place, where it is not causing pain or blockage watching it may be the best option. A 7 mm stone would be impossible to pass. He should be seen by a Pediatric nephrologist and urologist. All the best.
