Is it normal to have a pounding heart beat, very strong pulse, with normal blood pressure and normal pulse rate?

No: This usually means that your heart is working very hard to pump out the blood. If this happens only when you are stressed or anxious, then anxiety or panic attack may be the cause. If it is a persistent problem, you need to contact your doctor.
