A member asked:

Is it dangerous to read in my brain mri report : small area of encephalomalaica in the left deep parietal region ? iam 19 and got headache for ayear

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Interpretation: The encephalomalacia represents an area that dates back years. This could have been a congenital vascular malformation, prior trauma associated with birth or developmental issues, and is very unlikely to explain your headaches. Far more likely is presence of migraines. Would not worry about the MRI findings.
