I have 4-5 cm ovarian cyst causing nausea and low back pain. dr wants to follow up in 6 weeks with ultrasound. should i be concerned it is cancerous?

Unlikely: Lifetime risk of cancer is 1 in 60-90. Small odds. It usually strikes women after the age of 45. There are other findings on an ultrasound that can suggest if its a benign or malignant looking cyst. if your gyn feels its safe to follow in 6 weeks, thats a normal approach. Best wishes Dr M
