See dr for follow up: The amount pain will vary depending on how involved the extraction was and the type of bone graft you had. Although it is not unreasonable to still be in some pain 6 days after, you should consider contacting your doctor to adjust your pain management and perhaps come in for a 1 week follow up exam or call to review what to expect during healing. Remember to follow the post op instructions closely.

Not normal: Need to go back to your dentist for further evaluation. My patients do not have any pain the next day after an extraction and bone graft, therefore i would surmise that you have something that needs to be addressed now.

Antibiotic 24 hours: Antibiotic, as in the case of clindamycin, should work in about 24 hours. You are having an infection. Control the swelling, keep the graft completely submerged with the primary tissue closure. Keep the surgical area clean with q-tip, low level laser biostimulation if available. Infection will cause graft to fail with soft tissue ingrowth.
