A member asked:

My bilirubin 1.4 i don't drink . what can cause it ? is it considered concerning ? the rest of blood is normal, i retake the blood on couple of weeks.

Gilbert's?: If this is mostly indirect / unconjugated bilirubin, you may be one of the 1-2% of folks with Gilbert's non-disease. It's not worth a workup though it can be done. If you've noticed in the past that the whites of your eyes turn slightly yellow if you go a few days without eating, consider the diagnosis clinched. Your physician should be familiar with this. Best wishes.
