Dipstick UA: Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) at higher concentration in urine samples can lead to false results in a number of urine tests, particularly false negative results in glucose and hemoglobin analysis. The urine may have to be repeated with a different type of test or further evaluation and treatment may be warranted depending on the clinical presentation.
