What causes fibroids to reappear after a total hysterectomy and how are they treated?

It shouldnt: fibroids are generally seen in the uterus and once you go through the hysterectomy you shouldnt have recurrence. The fibroids are part of the uterus, and once the uterus is removed; you no longer have the source.
