Dry Mouth: A waxy taste can have lots of causes. Are you taking medications? Medicines can alter the flora in the mouth. Do you have associated dry mouth? Many drugs like anti-depressants, anti-histamines can make the mouth dry. Dehydration can lead to altered taste and dry mouth. Get a clinical dental examination. Frequent sips of cold water, chewing sugar free gum, improve your hygiene and do not smoke.
