Why does it taste so bad when i have a cold? every single time i develop a cold, it starts with my saliva feeling slimy and tasting terrible for a good 2-3 days. drinking a lot of water helps the problem, but i can only drink so much. what do i do?

Congestion: Your congestion with post nasal drip will cause that taste and feeling. This is normal for a cold. Drinking water or other non-caffeinated fluids is a good idea, as you are doing. Foods that are liquidy can also help. If you develop a fever, or worsening cough, bad headache, or vomiting,please see your doctor
