It could be tonsils: Snoring is a significant problem for many people; it often goes undiagnosed or gets passed off as an irritation. A great place to start is an examination by an ear, nose, & throat doc and a sleep study. Sleep apnea, a serious and potentially life threatening condition, should be ruled out or diagnosed through a sleep a study. In the meantime fewer cocktails may help too.

Tonsils sleep apnea: Tonsils can block the airway at the back of your throat and this can cause snoring. Please discuss with your physician as this can be a sign of sleep apnea which puts you at risk for heart attacks and strokes.
