What causes your tounge to turn brown and your taste buds at back of throat to be very large? haven't eaten anything brown no soda or coffee only drink 6 bottles of water a day.i wear dentures soak nightly in polident what can i do to get rid of it?

The brown or hairy tongue isn't serious & often caused by coffee or tea,mouth dryness,spicy foods or allergies. The same may be said of enlarged taste buds at base of the tongue. Ill fitting dentures may be a cause,too. Salt water rinses,mouth washes,brushing tongue may remove brownish discoloration. Your dentist can advise you further.
