Yes, but....: ... they should not be used as a replacement for a balanced diet! You need plenty protein from food, plus carbohydrates and good fats, and a "rainbow" of colored foods including animal products for B12. If you are a vegan, you must take a B vitamin complex supplement and eat at least every 2 hrs to make sure you are getting enough calories.
