Yes they are: Proteins are a very essential part of our daily food needs. Without them you can not have good health because our body machine runs with the help of protiens which are made inside our body from Amino Acids taken in the diet that we eat. Without eating enough proteins not enough proteins can be manufactured and you will start collelcting excess of fluid in the body and not be able to function norma.
