Coughing hard?: This usually occurs when someone is coughing hard or trying to stifle a cough? One causes a high pressure in the chest and the other way is causing pain in the muscle when you cough. Do no stifle a cough as this can cause major problems. If this persist see you doc.

Pain: Pain with coughing is most likely chest wall pain. Not knowing why you are coughing makes it important to be checked particularly if you have any risk factors such as: smoking, asthma or recurrent lung problems. All the best and be checked.
