I've just recently been dealing with severe back pain when i lay down and it feels as though is around the area of my spine, any causes or treatment?

HELP: Age?I injury? Gen. Health? Back pain from arthritis to postural to cancer can be worse when lying down as your spine flattens. BUT it is a warning sign if the pain persists for hours. See a doc urgently. I need more info to be of greater help.
