A member asked:

I have all the normal symptoms of acid reflux and jitters but i'm not responding to any of the medication. could it be something else?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be: Classic gerd should respond to a bland low fat diet and taking a medication like prilosec or nexium (esomeprazole). You may have other disorders like esophageal spasm, eosinophilic esophagitis, bile reflux all of which aren't often helped by the above treatments. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate, advise and treat you if your symptoms persist.
