Reflux: You may be getting acid in your esophagus during the night while laying in bed. You should try elevating the head of your bed (not extra pillows, that just bends your neck) most stores sell blocks specifically for this purpose. Put one under each of the legs of just the head of your bed (total of two).

Talk to your doctor: Talk to your doctor, you may need some adjustment in your medication. If you're taking a ppi (e.g. Omeprazole), make sure you take it 30 minutes before a meal. Avoid eating spicy and fried food, avoid alcohol and caffeine. Elevate the head of the bed by 6 inches. Don't lie down right after eating. Lose weight if you're overweight/obese. Stop smoking. Hope these help.
