Broke distal radius in 2 places & had surgery. 6 weeks after surgery, still have 1 fracture, but my md traded cast for brace. did he jump the gun?

Not necessarily : That is a pretty common timeframe for advancement. I would certainly discuss any individual concerns with your surgeon.

Six weeks sounds: like adequate time for healing to occur. Your orthopedic surgeon most likely has a lot of experience with distal radius fractures, because these are common. Please listen to your surgeon's advice.
