A 65-year-old female asked:
I had wrist surgery (plate for radius fracture) and a ulnar chip, still have swelling and aching on and off after 11 weeks, going to physical therapy and icing, can it still get better?

Most likely. Best to ask the surgeon what their experience has been in women like yo who have had done exactly what they did.

It should continue to improve acute edema and inflammation persists for four months and at least eight months til end point. The ulnar styloid fracture while not problematic in itself is associated with a higher incidence of associated wrist ligament injury.
