Many considerations: Good question. There is a tremendous variation in the quality of multivitamins. Some (usually the cheap ones) have poorly absorbed and even toxic forms of nutrients (like synthetic vit E) & dangerous additives like titanium dioxide and artificial colors. http://www.multivitaminguide.org/ has independent ratings of 101 multivitamins.
