A member asked:

A 4kg kettlebell fell slightly on my big toe on the left foot. half the toenail is blue and it hurts. what should i do? is it fractured?

UC exam: I suggest a visit to an urgent care center to xray the foot and use x-ray to diagnose a fracture. Additionally, if there is an accumulation of blood under the toenail, it can be released.

Xray needed: You should have your left foot xrayed (3 views weightbearing) and see a foot doctor in your area for a more in-depth assessment. It is possible that you may have fractured or deeply bruised one or more of the small bones in the great toe. Icing the area 2 times per day for 15 minutes each time would be helpful to control pain and swelling
