I fell backwards and my big toe got stubbed and bent (like when you're on your mark in a race). there are white lines on my toenail and sometime pain when i walk. i worry i might have fractured bones or ligament but id like to avoid xray radiation?

I would not be concerned about the amount of radiation you will receive and please be evaluated and examined by a doctor. You might not need an X-ray. X-rays of extremities is minimal.
