A member asked:

Spep results said monoclonal protein can't be ruled out. what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May need repeat chec: SPEP is a test looking for an abnormal protein in the blood. When present, it produces a separate peak than the one produced by the normal proteins. The report you have sent is ambiguous! So a second opinion or repeat test may help. Another(better test) is called Immunofixation test. You need to go see a Myeloma(a type of Bone marrow Cancer) specialist to help you further.
