A member asked:

I have a sore throat, it is painful when i swallow salaiva but not so painful when i swallow food and drinks. there is also a trace of blood when i spit out mucus. what could be cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sore throat: If you have a cough and nasal congestion then it is likely a viral condition. If you have no cough, temperature greater than 100.4, and swollen cervical nodes, then strep throat is more likely. To decide which you can see a doctor in person
