Maybe strep throat: The hallmarks of strep throat (centor criteria) are fever > 100.4, absence of cough, tender lymph nodes in the neck, and exudates (white spots) on the tonsils. If you have these, your doctor may consider treating with antibiotics. If you continue to spit blood, have trouble swallowing, or breathing, please seek immediate medical attention.
