I was doing some research online about cluster headache. i saw melatonin listed as a preventative. does it work pretty well at preventing cluster headaches? also how does something like melatonin help such a crippling disorder?

Uncertain it will: You can try it and see if it helps. Be certain it does not interfere with a drug interaction with your medication you can discuss with your physician and neurologist

Helps some people : At high doses, 21 to 24 mg, it helps some people. It effects circadian rhythm, which is involved in cluster headache. It isn't the most effective cluster prevention medicine in my experience.
