What factors are used to determine hospice care? when can hospice care be removed (but not death). person under hospice for almost a year now.

Patient's wishes: Hopefully the patient in question expressed their end of life preferences before they became unable to make their own choices. When a care plan of hospice is enacted, the focus is on comfort, which is a great thing. Sometimes a patient's death may be hastened by focusing more on comfort (say by giving morphine) but hospice is more of a BIG PICTURE type care plan. These discussions are complex.
