My 97 old wasin hospice at a nursing home. she asked for hot tea. i gave it to her & she siad it was to hot or boiling. she died 2 days later. did i harm her with the hot tea? she also broke her hip weeks earlier. did i cause her death?

She noted the tea was too hot and I assume did not ingest more than a brief taste. That exposure by itself did not kill her. People in hospice are there because they are expected to die soon. I would not spend any more time thinking about the tea. It was her time.

She was in hospice due to a terminal condition and that is likely to have caused her death. You are experiencing grief (did not harm her with hot tea) and should use counseling services that will be available through the hospice agency for a year. Sorry for your loss!
