A headache: Coupled with confusion, dizziness, memory loss, slurred speech, loss of balance, weakness on one side of the body, seizures or blurred or double vision could signal a stroke or brain tumor, so always demand prompt medical action in those circumstances. Isolated headache is rarely caused by brain tumors.

Depends on location: Headaches are usually late symptoms of brain tumors. That means that these symptoms occur when the tumor and associated swelling are large enough that they lead to pressure that is then reflected as headaches. However, symptoms can occur by local irritation of the surrounding brain-ie. Motor regions, speech regions, sensory regions. Brain tumors can also lead to seizures.
