Yes, : Yes, brain tumors can cause headaches. But the headaches will be different from what has always been there, and usually they are not "migraine" headaches. If somebody has had migraines their whole life, I am not concerned about a tumor unless something drastically changes in the headache. The rule of thumb is that we are always worried about the "worst or first" headache, and about a "new and different" headache. So, if somebody has never had migraines all through adolescence, then comes in later in life with a migraine that is worth checking with an MRI of the brain. But most migraine patients have had them for years. Unless they suddenly get much worse or different, i would not be worried about a tumor.
