Unlikely the cause: If the kid wakes up daily with a headache and vomiting i would consider a brain tumor and need of urgent evaluation. Once a month headaches starting as the kid starts school are not specific to any cause.Balanced nutrition, not skipping breakfast, hydrating well and regular exercise all help to avoid headaches. I would discuss her symptoms with her doc at your next visit.
