Tonsilloliths: A 17 yo female with white spots on tonsils, recent strep culture negative. White spots on tonsils doesn't have to mean infection. Sometimes, debris (old food particles and mouth bacteria) can get stuck in the pockets of tonsils and form tonsilloliths (or tonsil stones). Lots of them can cause some swelling and pain. Gargle with salt water or see dentist/ENT to remove.
