Normal tonsils: Adult tonsils have crypts, which make little tonsil stones. These are the white spots. This is normal. If they are really irritating, an antibiotic might help to settle them down. If that doesn't work sometimes we do a tonsillectomy. In most cases if i describe the surgery to someone with a concern about these, they opt to leave it alone.
