Owner nerve was contacted: Your history and symptoms suggest you did hit the ulnar nerve. Long-term damage is unlikely however short term will be painful.Cold compresses to the area may be helpful as well as taking a med like Aleve (naproxen) if this kind of medication is safe for you. Do not lift, push, pull or carry anything on the affected side until pain and swelling has resolved. If no resolution in a week call your MD.

Medial Epicondylitis: or "Golfer's Elbow" can be due to blunt trauma! This usually does not affect the ulnar nerve itself (its actually medial to the nerve) A CORTISONE INJECTION may be indicated! Ask your PCP (Primary Care Provider for a referral to an Orthopedist! Hope this helps! Dr Z
