A member asked:

What is the process of obtaining a 2nd opinion on a hida scan which appears to show duodenogastric reflux but none was mentioned in the final report?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can ask for revision: Appropriate to findings, the original radiologist may be requested to revise his/her report with the additional information, or your ordering physician can request an over-reading of the HIDA scan by a second radiologist. Also, please check with your ordering doctor if a finding of duodenogastric reflux will even alter your current management.
